Seattle – December 26, 2012 – Continuing its yearlong expansion into new markets east of the Cascades, Sleep Country USA, the Northwest’s number one mattress retailer, is opening two new stores in Treasure Valley, Idaho this week. Sleep Country has acquired Sleep With Grace and will be converting its stores into brand new Sleep Country USA stores. The new Sleep Country USA stores are located at 3131 E. Lanark Street in Meridian and 16608 N. Midland Blvd. in Nampa, bringing its store total in Idaho to four.

“We are pleased to expand into this region with the addition of two new stores,” said Terry Horsley, Vice President of Brand Strategy. “Along with these openings, we will also be extending our Foster Kids program to serve the needs of foster children in the state. It’s a win for the community with convenient access to a trusted Northwest brand for purchasing quality sleep products and the new opportunity to give back to a very important social cause through an award-winning philanthropic program.”

With these new store openings, Sleep Country is also proudly announcing the addition of Family Advocates of Boise as a new non-profit beneficiary partner for its Foster Kids program. This new partnership will provide area foster children with essential material items like clothing, shoes, pajamas, coats, school supplies, and during the holidays – gifts and toys. These items are collected during the company’s six annual donation drives held in-store.

“Welcoming a new foster organization non-profit partner is exciting,” said Jarrett Tomalin, Marketing & Community Relations Coordinator at Sleep Country USA. “Through its Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and Home Visiting programs, as well as parenting classes, Family Advocates of Boise partners with parents to build strong families and works to keep abused children out of danger and in safe homes.”

“We are grateful to partner with such a robust philanthropic program,” said Nicole Sirak-Irwin, executive director at Family Advocates of Boise. “The Sleep Country Foster Kids program presents an innovative way to engage AND support the community, setting an example for other businesses.”

The Sleep Country Foster Kids program recently concluded its Toy and Gift Drive for foster children and will begin the New Year with a Pajama Drive on January 7th, 2013.
