Pajama Bowl

The 2013 Pajama Bowl was a success raising $154,000 for foster kids!

Whether your pajamas are striped or plaid, cozy or cool, footed or not, Sleep Country USA Foster Kids Pajama Bowl invites you to roll out of bed and take part in the company’s annual Pajama Bowl for Foster Kids. The 2013 Foster Kids Pajama Bowl was full of fun and was a huge success raising a record $154,000.

Putting the Fun in Fundraiser

“We designed the event to be goofy and inviting while giving the community a way to give back to an important demographic that really needs our support,” said Terry Horsley, vice president of brand strategy, Sleep Country USA. “One of the most unique fundraisers we know of, our Pajama Bowl event has been growing every year, adding more participants and increasing the cash we can donate to foster organizations to provide foster children the same opportunities our children enjoy.”

Why I Like to Bowl in my PJ’s

“Bowling in my pajamas makes me feel like a kid again,” said Kevin Hunter, executive director at Olive Crest PNW. “And, the sponsorship money raised at Sleep Country’s Pajama Bowl events is used to help the kids in our foster program to participate in extras that they might not normally be able to afford, such as summer camp, trips to the zoo, working with a tutor, or even getting counseling. This is especially important this year as foster parents and foster care organizations face budget cuts that will reduce available resources that increase a foster child’s ability to be successful in life. So, wake up and join us! We need your help and you’ll have a blast at this event.”

Stay Tuned for Pajama Bowl 2014

Interested individuals should form groups of five bowlers (family, friends, co-workers, neighbors – kids and adults). In order to participate in Pajama Bowl, each 5-person team is required to make a minimum $250 contribution ($50 per person) – these funds will go directly to a local foster-organization of the team’s choosing. During registration, teams will have the opportunity to choose their bowling alley location and time.
