Why Foster Kids?
Nearly 20,000 children in the Northwest find themselves living in foster care at any given time, many of which have entered with little to no possessions. While foster parents are paid a monthly stipend to help support the costs of raising a child, that stipend would need to increase by an average of 86.5% to meet all of the needs of a growing child.
Sleep Country’s collection drives help foster organization and parents immediately provide essentials all children need. When foster children receive these new clothes, shoes, pajamas and school supplies, it creates a positive experience in what can be a challenging or scary time.

Sleep Country Foster Kids Shoe Drive On Now!
In Bend, Eugene, Medford, and Eastern WA through May 19th, Seattle & Portland through June 9th!
For nearly 20,000 Northwest foster children it’s a challenge to find new shoes to replace a pair that have become too small or worn out. For many foster children a pair of new shoes help provide a sense of normalcy during a turbulent time. To help Sleep Country is collecting new shoes for foster children of all ages, boys and girls. Just bring your donation to any Sleep Country store or donate online and we’ll do the shopping for you.

Sleep Country’s Foster Kids Pajama Drive Collected 6,810 Donations!
For nearly 20,000 NW foster children nights can feel long and lonely when you’re away from familiar faces and places. Even something as simple as a pair or warm pajamas can make the nights a little easier. Your generosity provided 6,810 pajamas for local foster children.
