How it Works

Spread the Word About Your Fundraiser

Invite and encourage friends, peers, coworkers, family and neighbors to support your Foster Kids Pajama Bowl team and selected non-profit this year.

Get the word out by talking to friends, neighbors and coworkers about the cause, sending informational emails, and using your social network. Here's a sample email for you to use.

Hang posters in high-traffic areas or distribute to potential supporters at gatherings.

Talk it up at staff meetings, kid's soccer games, community or religious gatherings. Send an announcement in your work newsletter or slip the information into a meeting agenda.

Collect Your Donations

Supporters can choose to sponsor you and your chosen non-profit by using our ‘sponsor a bowler’ search on the Pajama Bowl website or writing checks made out to Sleep Country Foster Kids. 100% of your team’s collected donations will be presented to the nonprofit organization that your team captain designates during registration.

Enjoy Your Success

For every $50 over the $250 minimum raised you receive an extra 100 points for your Pajama Bowl team. And with every extra point, your team is one step closer to the Grand Prize, a Beautyrest Mattress Set for each of your team members! Beyond points and prizes, you can be proud that your friends, family, and supporters worked together to ensure local foster children are set for success!

Have a special fundraising story to tell? Provide us with your name, contact information and a short story about your efforts, and we’ll share your generous story with the local newspapers and community blogs. You deserve the fame and it shows other community members that they can make a difference to. Email communityrelations@sleepcountry.com.

Subject: Help support [Insert Pajama Bowl team] as we raise money for local foster kids at the Sleep Country Pajama Bowl

Hi there,

For the nearly 20,000 foster children living in the Pacific Northwest, each day presents new challenges. Often removed from their homes with only the clothes on their backs, foster children rely on the help of foster families and foster care agencies that work to ensure these children feel loved, cared for, and supported as they grow up.

That is why I am participating in this year’s Pajama Bowl for Foster Kids, Sleep Country’s biggest annual fundraiser. 100% of funds raised by Pajama Bowl participants will be used to support Little Wish programs that ensure foster children can attend summer camp, where they are often reunited with siblings, participate in a sport, obtain music lessons, or receive tutoring assistance. Since its inception, the Pajama Bowl events have raised over $600,000 for foster kids, thanks to the generous support of over 4,700 participants!

My Pajama Bowl team is supporting [insert non-profit], a foster care organization dedicated to improving the lives of area foster kids. 100% of your donation will be distributed to this non-profit agency, and will contribute to my goal of raising [insert fundraising goal]!

To support my team and local foster children, you can donate online by visiting the ‘Sponsor a Bowler’ page here: http://www.pajamabowl.com/donations.aspx and using the search tool to find my name. You can also write a check made out to Sleep Country Foster Kids and mail it to me at [insert address].

Let me know if you have questions and thanks for your support!

Thanks,
