Featured Donor
Million Pencil Push Initiative, Oregon
Children's Accessibility Foundation and Doug Naimo set out to make a difference for children and saw much needed school supplies as a way they could help. So they created the Million Pencil Push Initiative, where they utilizes all their business resources and thrifty shopping skills to collect school supplies for children in need. They also collect and share with supporters the best places to get the biggest bang for your buck so you can donate even more. Sleep Country is proud to be the beneficiary of the Million Pencil Push and will distribute all their donations to foster children in need. So far the Million Pencil Push donated over 1,500 school supplies including binders, paper, rulers etc. We look forward to future drop offs!
JRegence Blue Shield of Tacoma and Burlington put their heads together and collected over 433 donations, completely filling their car, for local foster children! This impactful donation will outfit over 69 kids with backpacks, many with new outfits for the school year and provide dozens of kids with the school supplies they need to start the school year right. Special Thanks to Regence Blue Shield’s collected efforts to work as a team to help local foster children.
Jessica Belveal, Jon Ferrell, Spencer Gates, Jason Jew, Hossein Shaghaghi, and Sherrill Strobel from the University of Washington, Bothell, Project Management class held their own foster kids fundraiser for a class project. The collected money, clothes, toys, school supplies, backpacks and summer games! Together they raised over $600 and more than 200 donations!
