SEATTLE – January 2, 2013 – Today, Sleep Country USA, the Northwest’s number one mattress retailer, is proud to announce that the company has been honored with two regional workplace awards. Seattle Metropolitan Magazine and Oregon Business Magazine have both named Sleep Country in their lists of the Best Places to Work in Seattle – 2013 and 100 Best Places to Work in Oregon. The employee-owned company was also named a Top 10 Best Place to Work in Seattle by Seattle Business Magazine in 2012.
The awards were calculated through an initial nomination by company human resources (HR) representatives and subsequent employee surveys managed by a third party research firm. Sleep Country was honored for its robust benefits package, unique employee stock ownership program (ESOP), company culture of philanthropy and charity with paid volunteer days, performance incentives including an all expense paid trip to Hawaii for top sales performers, and an extensive training program for new employees.
