SLEEP COUNTRY FOSTER KIDS
Washington and Oregon have over 26,000 children in foster care, and many have suffered the effects of neglect, poverty and even abuse. Sleep Country believes that when we work together we can help make sure these children have the items and resources they need to have a happier, more successful childhood.

This year, to help them get a good start, you can donate gifts of new pencils, paper or other supplies to any Sleep Country location. Sleep Country knows not everyone can be a foster parent, but anyone can help a foster child. View which items are often needed most by foster kids on our School Supply Wish List.

2010 Foster Kids Pajama Bowl Raised over $90,000!
For the 26,000 foster children in the Northwest, each day presents new challenges. Many are frequently relocated to new homes and must repeatedly struggle to catch up in a new school. With support from non-profit foster child organizations and local communities, these children can regain a sense of hope, and this year’s Pajama Bowl participants and sponsors made a real difference by raising over $90,000.
This year's events at Acme Bowl in Tukwila, Tech City Bowl in Kirkland in Washington, AND Big Al's Bowling in Vancouver was a huge success with over 700 pajama bowler all taking up the foster kids cause. All donations raised by participants in the Sleep Country USA Foster Kids Pajama Bowl™ are used to provide the necessities, resources and little extras that offer foster kids some of the things they're missing, whether it's receiving new clothes, learning to play a musical instrument, join a sport, or re-uniting with a sibling at summer camp. Over the years, with the generous help of over 2700 participants, over $349,000 has been raised. Click here for more information about this fun event.
